Frequently Asked Questions

What is deliverance ministry and is it Biblical? Deliverance ministry is the Spirit-empowered practice of confronting and casting out demonic spirits that oppress or torment a believer's life. It is firmly rooted in Scripture — Jesus modeled it, commissioned His disciples to do it, and declared it one of the signs that would follow those who believe (Mark 16:17). At Living Free Ministries, every aspect of our process is anchored in sound biblical principles.
Do Christians really need deliverance? I thought I was set free when I gave my life to Christ. Salvation establishes your position in Christ, but many believers still experience ongoing spiritual oppression from strongholds that took root before — or even after — their conversion. Unresolved trauma, generational sin patterns, occult involvement, and habitual sin can all create openings for demonic harassment. Deliverance ministry addresses these areas so that you can walk in the fullness of what Christ purchased for you.
What signs suggest that someone might benefit from deliverance ministry? Some indicators include persistent cycles of fear, depression, anger, or anxiety that don't yield to prayer and counseling alone; patterns of addiction or sexual sin that feel unbreakable; a sense of spiritual heaviness or blockage in your relationship with God; recurring nightmares or sleep disturbances; and issues that appear to be generational — things you see repeated across your family tree. If any of these resonate with you, we encourage you to schedule a discussion session.
What services does Living Free Ministries offer? LFM offers three primary services: (1) Deliverance & Breakthrough Coaching — prayer ministry and spiritual coaching to help you identify and break free from strongholds; (2) Spiritual Formation — structured pathways to deepen your walk with Christ and grow in your spiritual identity and calling.
What happens during the first live 1 on 1 session? The initial session is always an interview — a safe, open-ended conversation where you share the issues that led you to seek help. Our team listens carefully and asks clarifying questions. Topics typically explored include your personal and family spiritual history, generational patterns you may recognize, any history of occult involvement, major relationships and life experiences, and areas where you have not yet experienced sustained victory. Nothing is off the table.
Do I have to be a member of Community Transformation Church to receive ministry? No. While Living Free Ministries operates under the covering of Community Transformation Church Fellowship, our services are open to all disciples of Jesus Christ, regardless of local church affiliation. We are committed to helping fellow believers across the body of Christ live victoriously.
Is the process emotionally safe? Will I be expected to do anything dramatic or embarrassing? We believe deliverance can and should flow in a calm, orderly, and dignified manner. Our approach is thorough but gentle. We prepare each candidate before ministry begins, so you will never be caught off guard. Our team is trained to create an environment of safety, confidentiality, and compassion throughout the entire process.
How many sessions will I need? Every individual's journey is unique. Some people experience significant breakthrough in just a few sessions; others with deeper or more complex histories may need a longer process. After the initial interview, our team will provide guidance on what a recommended pathway looks like for your specific situation. We are also committed to a follow-up process to equip you to maintain and walk in the freedom you receive.
Are sessions available online, or do I have to come in person? Living Free Ministries is located at 83 James Street, Newark, NJ 07102, and in-person sessions are available there. We also utilize virtual meeting technology to serve candidates who are unable to attend in person, whether locally or from other regions. Please contact us at info@livingfreemin.org or 201-326-0701 to discuss the option that works best for you.
